Epic patent trial over iPhone goes to jurors

(AP) — The multibillion dollar struggle over control of the U.S. smartphone market is now in the hands of nine Silicon Valley residents


The jurors who presided over the epic three-week trial between Apple Corp. and Samsung Electronics Co. began deliberating Wednesday.

Apple is demanding Samsung pay it $2.5 billion for allegedly stealing the design technology of the iPad and to create illegal knockoffs. Samsung counters that Apple stole its technology and is demanding $399 million.
